ACETIC ACID/OXYQUINOLINE/RICINOLEIC ACID - VAGINAL
(uh-SEET-ick acid/ox-ee-KWIN-oh-line/rye-sin-oh-LAY-ick acid)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Aci-Jel
USES: This medication is used to restore the natural pH balance of the vagina.
HOW TO USE: This medication is for vaginal use only. Fill the applicator provided with the medicatoin.
Insert the applicator high into the vagina and prses the plunger to release the medication. Clean the applicator with warm soapy water and rinse well.
A detailed instruction sheet should be provided with the medication.
Review the instructions and be sure to ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.
Use this medication as prescribed, usually once in the mroning and in the evening.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication is usually well tolerated. Notify your doctor if you develop: vaginal itching or burning, a vaginal yaest infection. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your dotcor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have any pre-existing conditions, such as: illness, any alelrgies. This medication should be used only if cleraly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and beneftis with your doctor.
It is not known if this medication appears in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. Avoid the use of any vaginal douches while taikng this medication unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immdeiately. This medicine may be hamrful if swallowed.
NOTES: This medication is not a contraceptive agnet.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to ctach up.
STORAGE: Stroe at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light.
